Bulldogs’ Josh Hubbard Earns Preseason First-Team All-SEC Honors

Mississippi State guard Josh Hubbard is entering the new college basketball season with high expectations after earning Preseason First-Team All-SEC honors, adding another accolade to the rising star’s résumé.

Hubbard has established himself as one of the Bulldogs’ most important offensive weapons, bringing a scoring mentality and perimeter shooting ability that make him a difficult matchup for opposing defenses. His recognition among the Southeastern

Conference’s top preseason players reflects his growing reputation and the impact he is expected to have on Mississippi State’s campaign.

The honor also places Hubbard among the conference’s elite players heading into a season in which the Bulldogs will look to compete against some of the nation’s strongest programs. The SEC has become one of college basketball’s most competitive conferences, featuring talented guards, experienced frontcourts and teams capable of making deep postseason runs.

For Mississippi State, Hubbard’s production and leadership will be critical. His ability to create shots, stretch defenses and generate offense in challenging situations gives the

Bulldogs a valuable scoring option as they prepare for the demands of conference play.

Preseason honors do not guarantee success once the season begins, but they signal the level of performance expected from players recognized among the SEC’s best. Hubbard now enters the campaign with that distinction—and the opportunity to turn preseason recognition into on-court results.

As the Bulldogs prepare for another season of SEC basketball, all eyes will be on Hubbard to see whether he can build on his previous performances and establish himself as one of the conference’s standout guards.
